Our service can recover a large portion of losses due to theft of fuel.We provide your station(s) with a “Drive-off Sheet”.When a drive-off occurs, write in as much of a description and the plate number as possible, attach the cash register receipt and fax or mail it to us for processing.
We track the license plate back to the vehicle owner.A series of demand letters with state statutes is then mailed out.We have access to unlisted and cell phone numbers that enable us (in most cases) to call the registered owner(s) of the vehicle many times per week.
Each state my have a collection fee that can be added to the amount of fuel stolen. Thefts within Minnesota carry a $30 collection fee. Other states may impose a similar collection fee. We also add daily compounding interest to the claim. All three items are included in the total amount owing by the debtor.
If/when we collect your money, you will receive 2/3rds of what we collect.Example: A $40 drive-off theft. We add a $30 collection fee (MN example) and $.40 of interest = $70.40 claim.$70.40 x 66.666 means that you will receive $46.93 minus the $7.50 research fee.Your net recovery = $39.43 back in your till.
Give us a call to discuss your situation. We also collect bounced and closed account checks, credit card declines, past-due and delinquent accounts and judgments.
